Level 1

There are three assignments in this introductory sequence, and all are required for students to be able to move on to more advanced course assignments. The reason all are required is that if students can get through this first level, they will (1) have at least a functional understanding of the course (the syllabus, rules, play-orientation, procedures, etc.), (2) have a low-stakes entry into the first Reading Response assignment (and accompanying peer-review), and (3) been able to navigate the basic mechanisms that inform the entire course structure.
